A wrap around team is a group of 6 or more people that support the family through the transition of the entire placement. They commit to bringing meals, babysitting, assisting with house work, providing prayer, emotional support, and assisting with other needs the foster family may have.
Our prayer is that the Wrap Round Team is from the family’s faith community, but if a relative or friend would like to join the team, they are encouraged to do so as long as the foster family is okay with that.
The time commitment for practical needs like food or housework usually translates to once every 4th week with a full team, and other needs of spiritual and emotional support are largely done through cards and texts. There will be one captain within the Wrap Around Team who will help facilitate the foster family’s requests and needs after Foster One has connected with the foster family.
